Hero's Big Adventures

These are the adventures of Hero the bear. Hero is traveling through Afghanistan wiht Dad and seeing alot of different things. I hope that my boys enjoy the pictures.

  • I am so glad that you have decided to join me on my adventure. I started my life in a store in Atlantic Beach, North Carolina. Here is my first picture with your Dad and his friend David. They had just gotten me from the store. They were supposed to go fishing today, but it rained and they couldn't go. However, I am glad that it rained. Becasue they didn't go fishing they came to get me so I can begin my great adventures.

    I am so glad that you have decided to join me on my adventure. I started my life in a store in Atlantic Beach, North Carolina. Here is my first picture with your Dad and his friend David.   • When we got back from Atlantic Beach it was time to begin packing up for our trip across the ocean to the country of Afghanistan. Your Dad was so busy that he didn't have time to take my picture at the place he was staying in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. On the day that we flew on our great big plane we had to wait a long time. Here I am waiting patiently on the plane to come and take us across the ocean. I hope the ride is not scary. I have never been on a plane before, but I think it will be a lot of fun.

I know that I will be okay though. I am with your Dad and he will keep me safe. I have heard that it is a long plane ride though. Today is Monday and we will not get to Afghanistan until late Tuesday night. I think I will take a nap on the plane.

It is kind of cool to be in a whole different country. Maybe one day our family can take a trip to another country together.

  • We finally made it to Afghanistan. I am so tired of being on a plane. We had to fly another eight hours from Germany to get here. When we got to Afghanistan we moved into our tent. Here am I sitting on your Dad's new bed. This is where he will sleep while he is in Bagram. I am so glad that we finally made it here. And yes, the plane ride was very fun.

    We finally made it to Afghanistan. I am so tired of being on a plane. We had to fly another eight hours from Germany to get here. When we got to Afghanistan we moved into our tent. Here am I sitting on your Dad's new bed. This is where he will sleep while he is in Bagram. I am so glad that we finally made it here. And yes, the plane ride was very fun.

  • We have now been in Afghanistan for almost ten days. Right now we are in a place called Deh Rawod (and I am sitting on the bed that we slept in). It is a small village in the desert of Afghanistan. It is a real neat place. I have seen lots of things this week - camels, donkeys, cows, and lots of children. It has been really fun. I think that we are going to leave Deh Rawod real soon though. I hope we come back here. It is really fun, and we got to ride on a helicopter on the way here. It was cool.
